Grilled Chicken Breast with Garlic Herb Cream Sauce
Serves 2–3
🍴 Ingredients
For the Chicken:
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Garlic Herb Cream Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional for extra richness)
Salt and pepper to taste
To Finish:
Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
A squeeze of lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
🔥 Instructions
1. Prep & Grill the Chicken:
Slice chicken breasts horizontally to create 4 thinner cutlets (for faster, even cooking).
Season both sides with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Grill on a stovetop grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side until golden-brown and cooked through.
Remove and let rest for a few minutes, then slice into juicy strips.
2. Make the Garlic Herb Cream Sauce:
In the same pan (wipe lightly if needed), melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits.
Stir in heavy cream, herbs, and Parmesan if using. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optional: squeeze in a touch of lemon juice for a fresh finish.
3. Bring It Together:
Plate grilled chicken slices on a slightly chipped speckled plate.
Spoon that golden, velvety garlic herb cream sauce generously over top.
Let it pool a little unevenly — some running down the plate edges, maybe a bit dripping from the chicken.
🛋️ Scene Styling Tips
Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top and let some herbs naturally scatter around the plate and counter.
Add a crumpled napkin beside the plate, and place a fork with sauce residue casually nearby.
Leave an open jar of dried herbs next to the scene.
In the background, a skillet or bottle of cream on the counter with soft window light pouring in, casting warm shadows. ✨
Slight mess = max flavor and realism.
