Gooey Apple Caramel Bombs

Ingredients:

- 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 8 caramel candies
- 1 tablespoon butter, plus 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 apples, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Caramel sauce, for topping
- Crushed peanuts, for topping

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
2. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add finely chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
3. Separate biscuit dough into individual biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a circle large enough to hold filling.
4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each biscuit circle. Top with one caramel candy.
5. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch edges to seal tightly, forming a ball.
6. Place each filled biscuit seam-side down in the prepared muffin tin.
7. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce and sprinkling with crushed peanuts.

Tips:
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balanced sweetness and a bit of tang.
Seal the dough edges carefully to prevent caramel from oozing out during baking.
