Chinese Ground Beef and Cabbage Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
4 cups green cabbage, shredded
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
2. Add the sliced onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
3. Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the cabbage is wilted and tender.
4. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Add red pepper flakes if using. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
