Sumptuous Surf and Turf 🥩🦐
Ingredients:
2 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, divided
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Season steaks with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks to desired doneness. Remove and keep warm.
In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add shrimp and cook until pink. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and lemon zest; cook until sauce thickens.
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Serve steaks topped with the creamy shrimp sauce. Garnish with parsley.
Notes:
For a non-dairy option, use coconut cream and nutritional yeast instead of heavy cream and Parmesan.
Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or garlic mashed potatoes.
