King's Hawaiian Rolls Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

1 package (12 rolls) King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1-2 tbsp milk (to thin the icing)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the rolls:

Take the King’s Hawaiian rolls and carefully cut each roll in half horizontally, so you have two halves of each roll.

Make the cinnamon mixture:

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and (optional) chopped nuts until everything is well combined.

Add the cinnamon mixture:

Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on the cut sides of each roll half.

Place the bottom half of the roll on the baking pan, then top it with the cinnamon mixture. Place the top half of the roll on top, so the cinnamon mixture is in the center.

Arrange the rolls:

Place the rolls back into the greased 9x9-inch baking pan, stacking them with the cinnamon mixture in the center.

Bake:

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cinnamon mixture is bubbling.

Prepare the icing:

While the rolls are baking, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a bowl until smooth. Add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.

Finish the rolls:

Once the rolls are out of the oven and slightly cooled, drizzle the cream cheese icing over the top of the rolls.

Serve and enjoy:

Serve warm and enjoy your delicious cinnamon rolls made with King's Hawaiian rolls!

This method gives you that lovely cinnamon swirl in the center of each roll, while still keeping the softness and sweetness of the King's Hawaiian bread. Let me know how they turn out!
