🥧 Pithiviers 🥮
A puff pastry cake filled with almond cream.
Ingredients:
• 2 puff pastry sheets
• 150 g almond cream (frangipane)
• 100 g sugar
• 100 g butter (softened)
• 2 eggs
• 1 egg yolk (for glazing)
• A few almond slices (for decoration)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Prepare frangipane: cream butter, sugar, eggs, and ground almonds.
2️⃣ Place one pastry sheet on tray, spread filling in center.
3️⃣ Cover with second pastry sheet, seal edges.
4️⃣ Brush with egg yolk, score decorative lines on top.
5️⃣ Sprinkle with almond slices.
6️⃣ Bake at 190°C (375°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
