πŸͺ Lazy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars πŸͺ
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or your favorite variety)
Instructions
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal. Lightly grease the parchment paper with nonstick spray or butter.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the bars tough.
Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).
Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
