🇫🇷 Pâté (French Country-Style Meat Spread)
Rustic, rich pâté made with ground meat and herbs—delicious with bread and pickles!
Ingredients:
• 400g ground pork
• 200g chicken liver, trimmed
• 1 onion, finely chopped
• 2 garlic cloves
• 1 tbsp brandy or cognac
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp thyme
• Salt and pepper
• Bay leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. 🔪 Blend meats, liver, onion, garlic, brandy, egg, and thyme into a smooth mix.
2. 🧂 Season generously with salt and pepper.
3. 🧈 Pack into a loaf tin, top with bay leaves.
4. 🔥 Bake in a water bath at 160°C (320°F) for 1 hour. Chill before slicing.
