Crispy Fried Green Tomatoes π

A Southern classic thatβs crunchy, golden, and absolutely irresistible!
Ingredients:
3β4 firm green tomatoes, sliced
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup cornmeal
Β½ cup all-purpose flour
Salt & pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Directions:
Dip tomato slices in buttermilk.
Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Dredge tomatoes in the dry mix until fully coated.
Fry in hot oil (medium heat) until golden and crisp, about 2β3 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot!
