Ingredients:
2 large apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier alternative)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Core the apples and slice them into very thin rounds (approximately 1/8 inch thick). Using a mandoline slicer will give you consistent slices.
2. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice to keep them from browning.
3. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle the mixture over the apple slices, making sure to coat both sides.
4. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
5. Place the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
6. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are crisp. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
7. Allow the chips to cool for a few minutes—they will become crispier as they cool down.
8. Enjoy right away or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
