Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl 🥖🦐🦀
Ingredients:
1 large sourdough bread bowl
1/2 lb lump crab meat
1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup softened cream cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
2 minced garlic cloves
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Prepare the bread bowl: Begin by carefully hollowing out the large sourdough bread bowl. Make sure to leave a sturdy shell, ensuring it can hold the filling without collapsing. Set aside the removed bread for dipping later.
2. Create the filling: In a mixing bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and shredded mozzarella until smooth and well combined.
3. Add flavor: Incorporate the finely chopped green onions, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, and lemon juice. Mix these ingredients until evenly distributed.
4. Fold in the seafood: Gently add the chopped shrimp and lump crab meat into the mixture. Take your time folding them in to avoid breaking up the delicate seafood.
5. Assemble and bake: Spoon the creamy seafood mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl, filling it generously and packing it in an even layer.
6. Bake: Place the stuffed bread bowl in a preheated oven at 375°F. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
7. Serve: Once baked, remove the bread bowl from the oven. Garnish it with additional chopped green onions for a fresh touch. Serve warm alongside the reserved bread chunks or crackers for delightful dipping. Enjoy your seafood delight!
