Chopped Italian Sandwich
Ingredients:
1 loaf Italian bread, halved lengthwise
1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
4 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
4 ounces thinly sliced salami
4 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
4 ounces sliced provolone cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the halved Italian bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with Italian salad dressing.
Layer the deli ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread.
Top with pepperoncini peppers, black olives, diced tomatoes, red onion, and chopped fresh basil.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the top half of the bread over the filling and press down gently.
Wrap the sandwich tightly in foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into individual portions.
