Savory Cabbage Beef Bake
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a greased baking dish, layer half of the chopped cabbage. Pour half of the beef mixture over it. Repeat with the remaining cabbage and beef mixture.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
