Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, combine the chicken pieces, chicken broth, onion, carrots, and celery. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, milk, and eggs to make the dumpling dough. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering chicken broth. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
3. Serve the chicken and dumplings hot, and enjoy!
