PINK VELEVET CAKE #prettyinpink
1 package classic white cake mix
1 cup whole buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
6 drops soft pink food coloring gel
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease and flour two 8" round cake pans or a 9"x13" cake pan.
In a mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, mix together cake mix, buttermilk, oil, eggs, and food coloring until fully and no dry streaks remain. Pour into the prepared baking pans and spread in an even layer. Bake until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 25 - 30 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting.

FROSTING
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth and fully combined. Add vanilla and salt and beat until just combined. Frost and decrate cake as desired.
