Dad used to sneak these to me on chilly mornings before school—still warm, still sweet, and always with a smile. 🍎🍩❤️

Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup apple pie filling, finely chopped

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp ground cinnamon

2 tbsp melted butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut pastry: Roll out puff pastry and cut into 3-inch rounds using a biscuit cutter. You'll need an even number.

Fill and seal: Spoon about 1 tsp of apple pie filling onto half of the rounds. Top with remaining rounds and press edges to seal. Use a fork for extra crimping.

Brush and bake: Brush with egg wash and bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.

Cinnamon sugar coat: Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Brush warm donuts with melted butter, then toss in the cinnamon sugar mix.
