• 3½–4 cups all-purpose flour
• ½ cup sugar
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• ½ tsp salt

To Fry:
Vegetable oil or shortening

To Fill & Finish:
• 1 cup pastry cream, Nutella, or jam
• Powdered sugar (or glaze/melted chocolate for topping)

Quick How-To:
1️⃣ Activate Yeast: Mix warm milk + yeast. Let sit 5–10 mins till frothy.
2️⃣ Make Dough: Mix flour, sugar, yeast mix, eggs, butter, vanilla, salt. Knead 8–10 mins until smooth. Let rise 1–1.5 hrs.
3️⃣ Shape Donuts: Punch down, divide dough into 12–15 balls. Let rise again 30–45 mins.
4️⃣ Fry Time: Heat oil to 350°F. Fry 2–3 mins per side until golden. Drain on paper towels.
