Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to spice preference)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
8 oz pasta (penne, fusilli, or your favorite type)
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp butter
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Season the thinly sliced steak with smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Add the steak to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside. (Duration: 5 minutes)
Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, add BBQ sauce, honey, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well combined and heated through. (Duration: 3 minutes)
Cook the pasta: Add the pasta and chicken broth to the pan, making sure the pasta is submerged in the sauce. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened. (Duration: 12-15 minutes)
Combine steak and pasta: Once the pasta is cooked, return the steak to the pan and stir to combine everything. Let it cook together for another 2 minutes to heat through and allow the flavors to meld. (Duration: 2 minutes)
Finish and serve: Stir in a tablespoon of butter to add richness and a glossy finish to the dish. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the sweet and spicy goodness! πΆοΈπ
