🌊 CLAM CHOWDER 🍲
A creamy and comforting clam chowder recipe that's perfect for cozy nights! 🌟
Ingredients:
- 8-10 strips of bacon
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 leek, finely chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3-4 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup broth
- 1 bottle (8 ounces) clam juice
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups fat-free half-and-half, divided
- 3 cans (6-1/2 ounces each) whole clams, undrained and chopped
- Bay leaf
- Chopped fresh chives or green onions, for garnish
Instructions:
1️⃣ Cook bacon until crisp; set aside. Saute veggies in bacon drippings. Add potatoes, broth, clam juice, seasonings, and simmer.
2️⃣ Combine flour and 1 cup half-and-half; stir into the soup. Cook until thickened. Stir in clams and remaining half-and-half.
3️⃣ Heat through without boiling; add bay leaf and crumbled bacon. Garnish with more bacon and chives. Enjoy! 🥄🥓
