Golden, buttery, and shell-shaped—these tender cakes are a sweet treat from Normandy!
📝 Ingredients:
100 g sugar
2 eggs
100 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
100 g butter (melted)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
Powdered sugar, for dusting
👩🍳 Instructions:
1️⃣ Whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
2️⃣ Add vanilla and lemon zest.
3️⃣ Sift in flour and baking powder, fold gently.
4️⃣ Mix in melted butter and chill the batter for 1 hour.
5️⃣ Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Grease and flour madeleine molds.
6️⃣ Fill each mold ¾ full and bake for 10–12 minutes.
7️⃣ Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
