Mini Donut Hot Buttered Cheerios
Ingredients:
- 3 cups Cheerios cereal
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and vanilla extract.
3. Add Cheerios to the bowl and gently toss to coat evenly with the butter mixture.
4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
5. Sprinkle the powdered sugar mixture over the buttered Cheerios and toss gently until all pieces are coated.
6. Spread the coated Cheerios in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even coating.
8. Remove from oven and let cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
