Ingredients:
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) salted butter, softened
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 12 oz)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and light brown sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and sea salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well to combine.
6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
7. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing cookies apart to allow for spreading.
8. Bake for 8-9 minutes, or until the tops have a slight touch of brown but are still soft.
9. Remove from oven and let cookies sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes to finish cooking and set.
10. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely if desired. Enjoy!

Tips:
Use light brown sugar for a moist texture and deeper flavor without white sugar.
Allow cookies to rest on the baking sheet after baking to maintain puffiness and prevent flattening.
