Homemade Brasato al Barolo Recipe 🇮🇹🥩🍷
Ingredients:
• 2 lbs beef roast (900g)
• 2 tbsp olive oil (30ml)
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 carrots, chopped
• 2 celery stalks, chopped
• 2 cups Barolo wine (480ml)
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 bay leaves
• 1 sprig rosemary
• Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a large pot, brown the beef on all sides.
Remove beef, then sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic until soft.
Return beef, pour in Barolo wine, add bay leaves, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
Cover and simmer for 2-3 hours until beef is fork-tender.
Slice and serve with the reduced sauce. Enjoy with mashed potatoes or polenta!
