Homemade Beef Lo Mein
Savory Beef Lo Mein with Fresh Vegetables
Ingredients:

8 ounces lo mein noodles
1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1 carrot, julienned
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:

Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet, along with the cooked noodles. Pour the sauce over the top and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
