Steak and Eggs Skillet
Ingredients:
2 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or your preferred cut)
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Chili flakes (optional, for heat)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:
Season the beef steaks generously with salt and pepper.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust based on your preferred doneness.
Add minced garlic and fresh herbs to the skillet in the last minute of cooking. Once cooked, remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
Cook the Eggs:
In the same skillet, add the butter and remaining olive oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet, careful not to break the yolks.
Cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes. For crispy edges, cook a bit longer.
Assemble:
Slice the rested steak into bite-sized cubes or strips.
Place the steak in the skillet next to the eggs.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and chili flakes if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your hearty steak and eggs skillet!
