Strawberry Chocolate Waffle
Ingredients:
For the Waffle:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Topping:
1/2 cup chocolate syrup (or melted chocolate)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
Whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Waffle Batter:
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix, as this can result in a tough waffle.
2. Cook the Waffle:
Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with oil.
Pour enough batter into the waffle iron to just cover the waffle grid. Close the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
Carefully remove the waffle and set it aside. Repeat with the remaining batter.
3. Assemble the Dessert:
Place the freshly made waffle on a serving plate.
Drizzle chocolate syrup or melted chocolate over the waffle.
Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.
Scatter diced fresh strawberries on top of the whipped cream.
4. Garnish and Serve:
Dust the top with powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
Serve immediately and enjoy this deliciously indulgent waffle dessert!
This dessert is perfect for a sweet breakfast or a special treat after dinner. Enjoy!
