CRAB AND SHRIMP STUFFED SALMON 🦀🦐
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 cup lump crab meat
1/2 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This sets the stage for perfectly cooked salmon.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, lump crab meat, mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, chopped green onions, fresh parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Use a fork to mix everything together until well combined and creamy.
3. Next, take each salmon fillet and pat it dry with a paper towel. This will help the salmon achieve a nice texture during baking.
4. Carefully cut a slit along the side of each salmon fillet to create a pocket, being cautious not to cut all the way through. This is where you'll be adding the delicious filling.
5. Generously fill each salmon pocket with the crab and shrimp mixture, ensuring you pack it in well.
6. Arrange the stuffed salmon fillets on a lightly greased baking sheet or in a baking dish. Ensure they are spaced out to allow for even cooking.
7. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each stuffed fillet, and season them lightly with additional salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
8. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes. The salmon is done when it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, emitting an irresistible aroma.
9. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and serve it hot. Pair it with your favorite side dishes, and add a fresh squeeze of lemon on top for an extra burst of flavor.
