Pesto Alfredo Tortellini with Steak Bites in Garlic Butter
Ingredients:
1.5 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
18 oz cheese tortellini
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Toss the steak bites with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sear them in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Let it sizzle for about 30 seconds. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the pesto. Let it simmer gently for a couple of minutes, then stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella until melted and creamy.
While the sauce is coming together, cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Drain and add it straight to the skillet, gently tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce.
Add the steak bites back into the pan, give it all one last toss, and let it warm through for a minute or two. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot for a rich, flavorful twist on Alfredo.
