Classic Homemade Lasagna 🍝
Recipe:
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1 medium onion (chopped)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 egg
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Cook noodles: Boil lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare meat sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef and sausage, cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Mix cheese layer: In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, and half the Parmesan cheese. Mix well.
Layer lasagna:
Spread a thin layer of sauce in a baking dish.
Add a layer of noodles, then ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella.
Repeat layers until ingredients are used up, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
Rest & serve: Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
