Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dream Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and mix until well combined.
4. Stir in the pumpkin puree until fully incorporated.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, pumpkin spice, and salt.
6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
