๐ฌ Frozen candy grapes with jello ๐
Ingredients
2 cups seedless red or green grapes, washed and dried thoroughly
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
Optional: sprinkles or finely crushed candy bits for added flair
Instructions
Prepare the Grapes : Start by washing and drying the grapes completely. Use a paper towel to pat them dry, ensuring no moisture remainsโthis helps the candy coating stick better. Set aside on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.
Make the Candy Coating : In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, lemon juice, salt, and water. Stir gently over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely. Once dissolved, stop stirring and let the mixture come to a boil. Allow it to boil undisturbed for about 5-7 minutes, or until it reaches a light amber color and a syrupy consistency.
Coat the Grapes : Working quickly but carefully (the syrup will be hot!), use a fork or toothpick to dip each grape into the candy coating, swirling to ensure an even layer. Place the coated grapes back onto the parchment-lined tray.
Add Sprinkles or Crushed Candy (Optional): While the candy coating is still warm and sticky, sprinkle crushed candy bits or colorful sprinkles over the grapes for extra flair.
Let Them Set : Allow the grapes to cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes, or place them in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes to speed up the setting process. Once the coating hardens, theyโre ready to enjoy!
Serve and Store : Serve immediately for the best texture. If storing leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 dayโthough theyโre best enjoyed fresh.
