Chili Cheese Dog Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 hot dog buns
4 beef hot dogs
1 cup chili (homemade or canned)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced onions
2 tablespoons mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon butter (for toasting buns)
Jalapeño slices (optional, for garnish)
Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and cook the hot dogs until browned and heated through, about 5–7 minutes.
In a small saucepan, heat chili until warmed through.
Butter the insides of the hot dog buns and lightly toast them in a skillet or oven until golden brown.
Place the cooked hot dogs in the toasted buns.
Spoon hot chili generously over each hot dog.
Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and diced onions.
Optional: Add mustard and jalapeños if desired.
Place assembled dogs on a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with parsley or green onions before serving.
