Southern Chocolate Cobbler
Ingredients:
For the batter:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1/3 cup melted butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the topping:
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 1/2 cups boiling water

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
2. Make the batter:
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the batter evenly in the baking dish.
3. Add the topping:
Mix both sugars and cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
4. Pour boiling water over the top without stirring.
5. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is set but the bottom is gooey and pudding-like.
6. Cool slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
