Easy Blueberry Sweet Rolls 🫐🍥
Ingredients:
- 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry for a flakier option)
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Glaze:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking dish.
2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the crescent dough to form a rectangle. If using perforated dough, pinch the seams to seal.
3. In a small bowl, mix the blueberries, sugar, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and cornstarch until the berries are evenly coated.
4. Spread the blueberry mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border along the edges.
5. Roll up the dough tightly from the long side, then slice into 1-inch rolls. Place the rolls, cut side up, in the prepared baking dish.
6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden and the blueberries are bubbling. Let cool slightly.
7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls before serving.
Chef's Tip: For an extra burst of flavor, add a sprinkle of lemon zest over the glaze before serving! 🍋
