Southern Pineapple Pie

1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 large eggs
½ cup sour cream
½ cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
