STEAK BITES & SMOKY CAJUN ALFREDO FUSILLI PASTA
Ingredients:
1½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
For the Smoky Cajun Alfredo Fusilli Pasta:
12 oz fusilli pasta
1½ cups heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
4 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Cook the Fusilli Pasta:
Boil the fusilli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
2. Cook the Smoky Cajun Steak Bites:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Season the steak bites with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper.
Add the steak to the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides, about 4–5 minutes.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
3. Prepare the Cajun Alfredo Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in cream cheese, Parmesan, and mozzarella cheese until the cheeses melt and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Add the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
4. Combine and Toss:
Add the cooked fusilli pasta to the creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce and toss to coat.
If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
Stir in the smoky Cajun steak bites and mix gently.
5. Plate the smoky Cajun Alfredo fusilli pasta, topping it with the seared steak bites. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
