STEAK BITES WITH CAJUN MAC & PARMESAN BUTTER SAUCE
Ingredients:
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb elbow macaroni (or your preferred pasta)
4 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (for extra flavor)
Directions:
1. Cook the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak bites with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the steak to the skillet and sear until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
2. Cook the Macaroni: In a separate pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
3. Prepare the Cajun Parmesan Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring until combined. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, allowing them to melt and form a creamy sauce. Season with smoked paprika for an extra smoky kick.
4. Combine Steak and Mac: Add the cooked macaroni to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy Cajun Parmesan sauce. Add the cooked steak bites and gently toss everything together, making sure the steak is evenly distributed through the mac and cheese.
5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately, enjoying the cheesy, spicy, and savory goodness of this dish!
