Homemade bread. This is my second attempt at making this air fryer bread, and I'm so happy with the results. It's fluffy, light, and delicious. 😍😋
Ingredients:
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
1/4 cup warm water
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
Egg wash: 1 large beaten egg
Instructions
Add the yeast to a bowl with warm water. Let the yeast sit in the warm water for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Once the yeast is activated, add the flour, sugar, milk, butter, and salt. Gently fold the ingredients together until well blended and the dough becomes slightly flaky. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth, then shape it into a ball.
Place the ball of dough in the air fryer basket, then wrap it in plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel. Let the dough rest until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
Brush the top of the loaf with egg wash and fry at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes, until the top of the loaf is golden brown.
Notes:
Air fryer cooking times may vary. Add 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time if necessary, until the top of the loaf is golden brown.
