Ingredients:
For the chocolate base:
1 1/2 cups chocolate cookies (crushed)
1/4 cup melted butter
For the dark chocolate mousse layer:
1 cup dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the milk chocolate mousse layer:
1 cup milk chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the white chocolate mousse layer:
1 cup white chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the garnish (optional):
Shaved chocolate
Fresh berries
Instructions:
Prepare the chocolate base: In a bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter, and mix until the crumbs are well-coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even layer. Refrigerate while you prepare the mousse layers. (Duration: 5 minutes)
Dark chocolate mousse layer: In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream until smooth. Spoon the dark chocolate mousse over the chilled cookie base and smooth out the top. Refrigerate for 1 hour to set. (Duration: 10 minutes + 1 hour chilling)
Milk chocolate mousse layer: Repeat the same process with the milk chocolate: melt it, whip the heavy cream and sugar, and then fold the chocolate into the whipped cream. Spread the milk chocolate mousse layer over the set dark chocolate layer. Refrigerate for 1 hour. (Duration: 10 minutes + 1 hour chilling)
White chocolate mousse layer: Finally, melt the white chocolate and combine it with whipped cream and sugar as in the previous layers. Spread the white chocolate mousse over the milk chocolate layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set. (Duration: 10 minutes + 4 hours chilling)
Once the torte is set, remove it from the springform pan and garnish with shaved chocolate and fresh berries if desired. Slice, serve, and enjoy! 🍫🍓
