- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Make the Chocolate Cake:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 8-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

4. Slowly mix in the boiling water (the batter will be quite thin).

Make the Mousse:

3. Allow the mousse to cool, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours until it thickens.

Assemble the Cake:
1. When both the cake and mousse have cooled, place one layer of cake on a serving plate.
2. Spread a generous portion of mousse on top, then add the second layer of cake.
3. Cover the entire cake with the remaining mousse.
4. For an extra touch, feel free to decorate with chocolate shavings or curls.
