Classic Beef Stroganoff 🍖🍝
Ingredients:
1 lb beef (sirloin or tenderloin), thinly sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
8 oz egg noodles, cooked
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Sprinkle flour over the onions and garlic, stirring to create a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the beef is heated and coated with the sauce.
Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
