🇮🇹 Italian Sarde in Saor 🐟🧅 A traditional Venetian sweet-and-sour sardine dish!
Ingredients:
• 8 sardines
• 1/4 cup onions, sliced
• 1 tablespoon raisins
• 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
• 1 tbsp pine nuts
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
1️⃣ Clean and fry sardines in olive oil, then set aside.
2️⃣ In the same pan, sauté onions until soft.
3️⃣ Add raisins, pine nuts, and vinegar, then simmer.
4️⃣ Layer sardines with the onion mixture and refrigerate overnight.
5️⃣ Serve chilled or at room temperature for an authentic Venetian experience!
