🍫 Chocolate Gelato
An irresistibly creamy and rich Italian frozen dessert.
Ingredients:
Whole milk: 500 ml
Heavy cream: 200 ml
Cocoa powder: 50 g
Dark chocolate: 100 g, chopped
Granulated sugar: 150 g
Cornstarch: 1 tbsp (10 g)
Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
Chopped nuts: for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1️⃣ In a saucepan, heat milk and cream over medium heat.
2️⃣ Whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until dissolved.
3️⃣ Stir in chopped chocolate until melted.
4️⃣ Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to thicken.
5️⃣ Simmer gently for a few minutes, then remove from heat and add vanilla.
6️⃣ Cool completely, then churn in an ice cream maker.
7️⃣ Freeze until firm and serve with chopped nuts if desired.
