GRANDMA'S FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 2 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 cups sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1...

GRANDMA'S FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE
2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 (15 oz.) can fruit cocktail (not drained)
Mix together all of the above ingredients. Beat for 2 minutes. Pour into a greased 9x12-inch glass baking dish or a bundt pan.

TOPPING:
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
BEFORE baking, combine sugar and chopped nut. Put on top of the cake and bake. at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.

FROSTING:
1/4 cup sugar
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (6 to 8 oz.) pkg. coconut flakes
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 tsp. vanilla
In saucepan, boil all for 2 minutes. Pour over the HOT cake.
Serve with ice cream :)
