🍪 Chocolate chip cookie dough dip 🍫
Ingredients
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 standard block (8 oz) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
½ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ cup sifted powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
¾ cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Equipment
Hand mixer or stand mixer
Large mixing bowl
Rubber spatula
Serving bowl
Instructions
Cream the Base: In your large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and cream cheese. Using your mixer on medium speed, beat them together for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth, lump-free, and has a light, whipped texture. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Sweeten and Flavor: Add the packed brown sugar, sifted powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the creamed mixture. Beat on medium speed for another 2-3 minutes. The mixture will lighten in color and become incredibly fluffy and airy—this is your signature dip texture.
Fold in the Chocolate: Reserve 2 tablespoons of the mini chocolate chips for garnish. Gently fold the remaining ½ cup + 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips into the fluffy mixture using a rubber spatula. Be careful not to overmix and deflate the air you’ve just beaten in.
Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the finished dip to your serving bowl. Sprinkle the reserved 2 tablespoons of mini chocolate chips evenly over the top for a beautiful, inviting presentation. Serve immediately with an array of dippers like chocolate chip cookies, graham crackers, pretzel rods, apple slices, or Nilla wafers.
