This was a favorite growing up, these are pretty close.
Copy Cat Brach's Nougats
4 Tblsp Butter
2 - 10 oz bags mini marshmallows
2 bags of white chocolate chips
3 - 10 oz bags fruit slices.(I used Brach's brand, I also cut them in 1/2 and toss them in a little sugar so the cut sides do not stick together. I then dump them in a strainer and shake them to get all of the extra sugar off.
I use the microwave. In a large bowl, melt the butter, add the marshmallows and the chips. Microwave at 30 second intervals, stir using a rubber spatula until it is smooth. I think mine took about 3 minutes. Add the fruit slices and stir quickly. It does get a little stiff. Pour into a pan lined with parchment paper, I use my Lasagna pan, that is a little larger than a 13x9. (I have also used a 13x9 with good results.) After I dump it in, and spread it the best I can, I wet my hands with water and press it down as smooth as possible. I let them set overnight. Cut them into squares and wrap. I ordered my wrappers off of Amazon, you could also cut parchment paper up to wrap them with.
