Apple Cinnamon Scones with Caramel Drizzle
Ingredients
For the Scones:
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
1/3 cup (65g) granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup (113g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 large egg
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream (plus extra for brushing)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup peeled, diced apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
For the Caramel Drizzle:
1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp milk or cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
1. Prep:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
3. Cut in Butter:
Add cold butter and use a pastry cutter or fingers to mix until crumbly.
4. Add Wet Ingredients:
In another bowl, whisk egg, cream, and vanilla.
Stir into dry ingredients until just combined.
Fold in diced apples gently.
5. Shape & Bake:
Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into a 1-inch thick round.
Cut into 8 wedges or use a round cutter.
Place on the baking sheet, brush tops with cream.
Bake 18–22 minutes, or until golden.
6. Make the Caramel Drizzle:
In a saucepan, melt brown sugar and butter over medium heat.
Add milk and boil 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
Drizzle over warm scones.
