Bangers and Mash ðŸŒðŸ¥”
Ingredients:
4 sausages (beef or chicken)
4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp flour (optional, for thicker gravy)
Directions:
Start by boiling the chopped potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until tender. Drain and return to the pot.
Mash the potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
While the potatoes are cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add chopped onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add the beef broth and stir in flour (if using) to thicken the gravy. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
Serve the sausages over mashed potatoes and pour the gravy over the top.
