Ingredients

Instructions
Make the Vanilla Pudding

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt over medium heat.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually add a small amount of the warm milk mixture into the egg yolks, stirring constantly, to temper the eggs.
Slowly pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining milk mixture, whisking continuously. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5–7 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract. Allow the pudding to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
Prepare the Whipped Cream

In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Set aside.
Prepare the Fruit

Peel and slice the bananas. Dice the mango, pineapple, and kiwi into small bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
Assemble the Trifle

In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the ingredients starting with a spoonful of vanilla pudding at the bottom.
