Almond Joy Cookies
Ingredients
1.5 cups brown sugar
1.5 cups sugar
10 Tbs butter
1 cup crisco (Shortening)
2.5 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
4 eggs
5 and 3/4 cup flour
4 cups milk chocolate chips
2 cups of coconut
2 cups nuts
Directions
Cream sugars and butter and crisco. Add vanilla and almond extract and eggs and coconut. Mix soda, salt and flour in a small bowl, set aside. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Do NOT over beat. Fold in chips. Put dough in fridge for at least 2-3 hours to solidify. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-14min. I always set my timer for ten minutes and rotate the pans front to back and top to bottom and cook for another 4 min.
